WTF Is Wrong With Me?

THREAT DETECTED:

Have You Ever Asked Yourself

WTF Is Wrong With Me?

Your brain is a brilliant survival machine. But here’s the catch: dopamine, the neurotransmitter that fuels your reward system, doesn’t care if something is healthy. It rewards what’s repeated.

So when unworthiness, rejection, and self-doubt fire on loop, which keep you repeating codependent behavioral patterns, your brain wires them in as your “baseline normal.” That’s why people-pleasing or playing small can feel strangely safe — even as it’s hurting you.

Traditional 12-steps says to ask for your “defects of character” to be removed. But you’re not defective. What’s really happening is that your brain's reward system wired maladaptive beliefs, and coded survival strategies as truth.

WARNING: MALWARE Your Programming Has Been Hijacked

Ok, So That's Me Taking Whimsical Creative License...

You don't get actual malware worms wrapped around your ankles that can hold you back, but your mind can get uploaded with maladaptive programming that can wreak havoc on your entire operating system.

The emotional contagion that you may have been exposed to can become a hardwired program that you operate from. In many cases, it may have been programmed before you were aware of your ability to give your consent to it, or to reject it.

You adapted to it.

"It's important to understand that from birth until the age of about 25, the brain is extremely malleable, in a kind of almost passive way, where kids are exposed to things and the brain is just wiring up. The brain is designed to adjust itself in order to be in concert with its surroundings."

Dr. Andrew Huberman, Neuroscientist

But the good news is that your brain is designed to adapt, the adult brain can change, and you actually can take full control of the programming.

The Beauty Is:

Your brain isn’t immutable. It's adaptable A.F.

When you pair simple, daily shifts with proven neuroscience —

You stop repeating cycles that strengthen the old survival wiring, and lay down new pathways for growth.

You reclaim your agency, and you become the architect of your own story. __________________________________________________________________________

Neuroplasticity allows you to rewire your reward system to crave clarity, confidence, empowerment, autonomy, and joy instead.

It doesn’t care about your past.

It cares about

what you wire next.

THE 12-STEP

SYSTEM

THE 12-STEP

keeps you neurochemically connected to your identity

as a codependent

SYSTEM

I’ll get to how I came to that conclusion an unintended consequence of a system built with the best of intentions, but outdated understanding.

But first, let me ask you this:

Have you ever walked into a room that was supposed to help you — and instantly felt like it wasn’t where you belonged?

That the rules just didn’t resonate — that they felt almost antithetical to discovering your own truth?

That was me. _________________________________________________________

The Journey That Brought Me To You

__________________________________________________________

I went to one 12-Step meeting, and I knew immediately —

The 12-step ideology and methodology wasn't for me.

The steps to help with codependency are exactly the same as those of an addict.

Although “codependency” encompasses a different set of issues, it’s offered the same system of solutions.

But that system didn’t speak to the kind of empowerment I was looking for.

Faith wasn’t new to me.
I had already spent years seeking guidance, studying scripture, and living by spiritual principles.

However, when a pastor who was counseling me asked, “What is your sin in the situation?” I thought. Excuse me? MY sin?!

I never claimed to be perfect, but I was a faithful wife trying my best to have some sort of a normal life,

while my husband was an out-of-control drug addict who constantly cheated on me and did many other unimaginably destructive, heartbreaking things.

And this pastor had the audacity to ask me what my sin was in this situation!

I know his question came from a genuine place of his understanding of faith,

but it didn't align with mine.

I’m forever grateful for the community I found at church — but I came to understand that the church wasn’t my solution either.

What I couldn’t accept was the idea that my patterns of codependency were a moral flaw or character defect rather than a programmed survival response of my brain.

I hadn’t lost my sanity.
I’d lost myself in the chaos of someone else’s.

And what I needed wasn’t more surrender.
I needed to reclaim

my own power.

My goal isn’t to diminish anyone’s faith — quite the opposite.

The K.I.S.S. System™

isn’t anti- or pro-God;

it’s pro-human design.

If you believe you were created with purpose,

then I would posit that instead of asking for your “defects” to be removed from you — that you gain a greater understanding of how to use the powerful systems that were created within you.

I knew there had to be a more positive, universal solution —
one that didn’t require subscribing to a belief system that didn’t feel authentic.

With little to no results to help me to figure out how to change my life, I went on a very long journey of self-discovery, personal growth and development, and then eventually to research on the workings of our minds.

I just didn’t know what the answers were… yet.

Until I discovered the study of neuroscience.

"When I heard Dr. Andrew Huberman explain how the brain and nervous system work, I was completely blown away. It felt like he was explaining my life’s story — scientifically.”

I knew that I had just discovered the science to articulate strategies for breaking free of codependency and making lifelong change!

It was the information I never knew I had always been looking for.

And this was where

my journey was supposed to lead me all along!

It's Time To Introduce

A Paradigm Shift Into The Zeitgeist

It's Time To Introduce

A Paradigm Shift Into The Zeitgeist

The 12-Step system,

while transformative for many, became the blueprint for how we think about codependency.

It remains the most widely recognized method for overcoming it — not because it’s the most effective model, but because it was the first widely accepted one.

Over time, it shaped culture, language, and the way millions learned to see themselves.

In the absence of alternatives, it became the authority.

But we’re not living in that world anymore.

Neuroscience, psychology, and decades of research have revealed truths that simply weren’t known then.

Yet women still walk into those rooms desperately seeking a solution.

Because of the social context around this program, and in desperation for things to change, they follow what the system is directing them to do.

In this way, the 12-step mindset has become more than a program—it’s a lens through which millions have learned.

What few realize though, is that codependency becomes part of your personal identity.

It's common to hear people on codependency threads refer to themselves with phrases such as "Us Codependents,"

or when introducing themselves at meetings adding "I am codependent,” or "I am a recovering codependent."

It turns into a neurochemical feedback loop that keeps you subconsciously believing
there’s something inherently defective in you.

Step 7, in particular, asks you to spend a lifetime requesting the removal of your “character defects.”
The more you ask, the more you believe there’s reason to.

“When you believe something, there are chemical reward systems in your mind that

are associated with just repeating that belief.”

“So the more I see stuff that verifies what I already think or feel, the more dopamine and adrenaline are released into my system.”

–Dr. Andrew Huberman

It becomes a cyclical scenario —
where progress feels tethered to the very program that defines you as powerless.

In essence, you become codependent on the system itself.

It becomes part of your story, part of your identity — and that identity holds a powerful grip.

That’s when I came to the natural conclusion of an unintentional consequence:
The 12-Step system keeps you neurochemically connected to your identity as a codependent.

The K.I.S.S. System™ helps you break that loop — to rewire those pathways, reshape your perception,
and grow into your
true identity, not the one shaped by someone else’s belief system.

It’s time to introduce a paradigm shift into the zeitgeist — a bold, science-based, compassion-fueled revolution rooted in neuroscience, neuroplasticity, and self-directed empowerment.

Because growing in your identity isn’t about surrendering your power.
It’s about learning how to use it.

Meet Eileen.

Eileen Sakofsky, Best-Selling Author and Transformational Lifestyle Entrepreneur, is leading a movement that fuses science, style and self-expression.

Her journey from survival to self-reclamation revealed a truth the world had overlooked: lasting change isn’t about recovery it’s about rewiring.

Her philosophy is informed by years of studying self-mastery and the discoveries in brain science, drawing wisdom from world-renowned voices such as Dr. Andrew Huberman, Tony Robbins, Brendon Burchard, Ed Mylett, Lewis Howes, Tom Bilyeu, Chalene Johnson, Brené Brown, and more. Their influence helped her bridge the gap between neuroscience and empowerment — and inspired her to design a system where transformation becomes tangible.

After a 30-year battle with her ex-husband's addictions, that at times left her homeless with kids, she has profound personal knowledge of what that looks like.

As the creator of The K.I.S.S. System™ and founder of the #HelloMeMovement™, Eileen merges neuroscience, mindset, and modern femininity to help women reprogram their beliefs, reclaim their worth, and rise into their next, most powerful identity.

Through her expanding brand ecosystem—including Hello Me Beauty™ and SELFish A.F.™—she’s leading a movement of empowerment for the modern woman: data-driven, deeply feminine, and unapologetically bold.

Because transformation isn’t something you chase —
it’s something you become.
